Instructions
  1. If adding fresh or leftover tomatoes remove the skins chop up the pulp.
  2. Fry onions and garlic in oil and butter in large pot until soft.
  3. Add all other ingredients to the pot- Except the cream.
  4. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and blend.
  6. Add the cream or Crème fraiche and return to heat for a minute but do not boil.
Recipe Notes

Serve with buttered bread roles and cubes of cheddar cheese.
