Students of the Lammas School and Sports College in Leyton, London, have produced a video and rap that highlights the problems of food waste.
The music and lyrics where written by the students and highlight many issues including those faced by farmers, governments who need to act and people who face poverty.
The music video, titled “Eat My Words – Don’t Waste”, which took six months to complete, features young talent of various ages between 11 and 16 from the London college. It was shot on location in a London Tesco store.
The video highlights some of the staggering statistics around food waste.
The poignant rap took third prize in the United Nations’ Think.Eat.Save Student Challenge while the video, which was completed in March is now featuring on YouTube.
